Let’s face it. Ever since computers made it possible for small business clients to become ‘do it
yourself’ accountants, their real accountants have been tearing their hair out.
I’m sure most accountants would agree with Timothy Lee who said “The greeting comment ‘Oh! Its all here on disk’ had become the most terrifying of words a client can utter to me now.”
That was before he found Cashflow Manager and discovered that with an easy system that the clients could understand and use, most could actually reconcile their records to their bank account and give you records you could rely upon to efficiently and effectively complete their financials and tax returns.
Accountants using Cashflow Manager report write-ups instead of write-offs, reduced staff needs and increased profits.
Studies show there is a direct link between the quality of recordkeeping and the survival rate of small business.
Yet accountants are quoted as saying that 8 out of every 10 small businesses make “horrendous mistakes using the more complex double entry bookkeeping software...”*
Your clients who have never been taught much about accounting need a bookkeeping program they can understand, or at least learn easily, to have the best chance of survival. And in most cases that is NOT a double entry program that you understand, but they do not.
With many busy businesses experiencing unprecedented financial stress in the current economy, it is vital that your small business clients use a program they can understand to give them the best chance of survival and remain as long-term clients.
Cashflow Manager is a very easy, award winning, small business accounting program designed especially for people who run their own business but have never been taught accounting.
And of course, there’s all those organisations like kindergartens, sporting clubs and churches... the simplicity of Cashflow Manager makes it easier to get great records without the volunteer treasurer having to be an accountant.
Cashflow Manager was originally developed by accountant Wayne Burgan (who was previously an auditor at the Tax Office) to help his own clients, and over 400,000 Cashflow Manager systems have been sold worldwide for one simple reason - it is easy to use!
The Cashflow Manager goal is to give all small business owners and not for profit organisations the opportunity to keep excellent records for their business, and:

Give them the Best Opportunity for Survival

Save them Time, Money and Frustration

Make life EASY For Their Accountants

Cashflow Manager is based on the hand-written cashbook method used by small business owners for thousands of years before computer software programs tried to turn everyone into accountants. (Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.)
So with Cashflow Manager, you simply record money received from your customers in the column that describes what the money was for (e.g. Sales). When you pay someone, you just put the amount in the column for the type of payment (e.g. Telephone, or Purchases, or Stationery etc.) It’s that easy!
If you are registered for GST, it calculates the GST and creates your Business Activity Statement that you can even lodge online. And of course the other important ingredient is to make sure your records balance to your bank accounts. Cashflow Manager makes that really easy too with a simple ‘wizard’ to help you.

Cashflow Manager is designed for those small business owners who have never been educated in accounting. I guess in the old days they were more likely to be the shoe box clients. Now they are probably 'computer shoe box' clients.
Our whole focus is to make it easy for anyone to keep good records. And although we know of businesses with a multi-million dollar turnover using them, the Cashflow Manager programs are primarily designed for mum and dad business owners whose goal is to be self employed rather than build a big business.
Here are some examples of ‘businesses’ using Cashflow Manager...
- Self employed people who do their book work at the end of the day.
- Wives of tradesmen juggling the demands of keeping the business books while trying to still run their family.
- Independent distributors engaged in network marketing and direct sales.
- Farmers.
- Pubs and restaurants.
- Medicos and professional service providers.
- Accountants with many small business clients. In fact many accountants use it for their own records and even if they use their general ledger system, many use Wages Manager for their practice payroll.
- Sporting clubs and not for profit organisations.
- Churches and community groups.
The main products for your small business clients are 'Cashflow Manager' and 'Cashflow Manager GOLD'. (In addition to the features of Cashflow Manager, GOLD includes accounts payable, basic inventory tracking and payroll. Clients in the Building and Construction industry who engage contractors, also need 'Cashflow Manager GOLD'.)
There is also a standalone 'Wages Manager' that many businesses with other systems use because it is so easy, and a Rent Manager program for managing investment properties.
(See below the table for information about the Cloud (i.e. Cashflow Manager Online) and Macs.
Here are the features of each product.
