Man having technical difficulties with Cashflow Manager

‘Outside of Year Parameters’ error: Solved

Have you ever had this error message when using Cashflow Manager? “Outside of Year Parameters”

It can sound like a scary message, but it’s actually quite a simple fix. Essentially, it means that your software (whether that’s Cashflow Manager, Cashflow Manager Gold, Wages Manager or Wages 1-4) is out of date and needs to be updated.

Depending on what version you are currently running, there are a few different ways to safely update your software and fix the ‘outside of year parameters’ message. But first, let’s look at why you need to keep your software up to date.

Why update Cashflow Manager?

There are two main reasons why you need to update any accounting or bookkeeping software: compliance and compatibility.

The ATO has a nasty habit of continually changing the requirements and obligations that it places on Australian small businesses when it comes to their accounting, bookkeeping, taxes, and payroll. For that reason, it’s extremely important that your accounting software is updated alongside these changes.

We’re working hard to continually update Cashflow Manager software so that you can keep your bookkeeping simple, without the stress of keeping up with every single complicated compliance rule change.

Secondly, Cashflow Manager software is designed to run on the latest operating systems. For example, if you are using our software from 2012 you may have trouble trying to run it on Windows 10. By keeping your accounting software and operating system up to date you won’t come across these kinds of compatibility issues.

Visit this blog for more reasons to update your accounting software.
